| Limit for Sugar Storage Increased by Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDN HEP) |

- The maximum sugar storage of 5 metric tonnes a month was not sufficient for food manufacturers.
|
- The State Offices of the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDN HEP) were only authorised to approve up to 25 metric tonnes.
|
- In response to these companies' feedback, KPDN HEP has:

Raised the maximum amount of sugar storage from 5 metric tonnes a month to 5 metric tonnes |

at any one time. |

ii. |
State Offices of the KPDN HEP can now give approval via ‘surat kuasa' for storage up to 50 metric tonnes, |
|
|
up from 25 metric tonnes previously. |
