| |
| The Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (LHDN) has taken the following steps to improve its services to the public: |
| |
| |
i. |
Reducing the duration for refunding of excess tax paid to individuals and companies from one year to between 14 to 30 days in |
| |
cases of submissions through e-filing; |
ii. |
Refunding excess of tax paid for the current year assessment without referring to the previous assessed year(s); |
iii. |
Resolving outstanding assessments prior to the current year and collecting taxes or refunding excess tax paid, if applicable, |
| |
therefrom separately; and |
iv. |
Refunding excess of tax paid directly without having the tax payee to make a direct and formal application. |
