Issues on shortage of workers were due to high attrition rate for new hires, border restrictions on foreign workers, inconsistent supply of workers, and mindset of local talent especially GIG Millennials towards working in factory because of preference working in service jobs or online business continues to burden the industry. There is also talent mismatch and talent war occurred throughout the manufacturing environment has worsen the scenario and effected the economy value chain.

The Technical Working Group on Human Capital (TWGHC) pursues initiatives to create an equilibrium between the demand and the supply of workers at optimal costs borne by employers that can drive gross domestic product to boost national economic growth and development. TWGT also supports national education attainment to meet the needs of industries for skilled human resources capable of raising productivity and global competitiveness.

Improvement Projects

  • Supplying Talent

    The objective is to sustain supply of resources for industries expansion and growth and relocate of resource to high productive sectors.

  • Upgrading Talent

    Upgrade level involve mass upgrade of industry required skill sets by industry driven program.

  • Matching Talent

    The matching level will involve data exchange between institution and industries through collaborative innovation to ensure adequate supply of talent.
