Business dynamism is a key factor in the growth of the economy. It measures the performance rates starting from the moment of company enter the market, grow, and leave the market. Stronger business dynamism related to higher rates of productivity growth, as unproductive firms leave and more productive firms enter or grow.

The Technical Working Group on Business Dynamism (TWGBD) addresses the life- cycle of a business from starting a business until resolving the insolvency. The Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) is one of the agency to deal with the processes and procedures of the incorporation of companies until it become insolvent.

The aim of this technical working group are to reduce the number of procedures, time and costs involved in the process of starting a business and resolving insolvency as well as to strengthen the legal framework.

    Coordinate the management of application processing for all types of licenses issued by the department through on-line starting from application registration, investigation/comment, recommendation, JKP meeting, application decision, payment and license printing.

  • Legal reform on Efficiency of Rescue Mechanisms Under The Companies Act 2016

    To provide an alternative for liquidation in the form of procedures that enable the rehabilitation of companies facing financial distress.

  • Study On Gap Analysis And On The Adoption Of Chapter 11 Of The Us Bankruptcy Code Relating To Corporate Rescue Mechanism In Malaysia

    To undertake a gap analysis study on the insolvency framework under the Companies Act 2016 against the measurement of the World Bank Doing Business Report 2020
